ABOUT OUR CHURCH
A Historic Anglican Church in Ipoh
The Church of St John the Divine is an Anglican church located along Jalan St John in Ipoh, Perak. For over a century, our church has served as a spiritual home to generations of believers, gathering people from different backgrounds to worship, learn, and grow together.
Founded in the early 1900s, our church is known for its beautiful architecture and long heritage. Our hope is to be a Christ-centred community where God’s Word is preached, the sacraments are shared, and lives are transformed by the love of Jesus.

Sunday – English Worship Service
Time: 8.00 am & 10.00 am
Our English-language worship services follow the Anglican liturgy, including hymns, prayers, preaching, and Holy Communion on appointed Sundays.
Sunday – BM Worship Service
Time: 8.00 am
A Bahasa Malaysia service where the Word of God is shared through Scripture reading, worship, and fellowship in a warm and welcoming environment.
Wednesday – Chinese Holy Communion Service
Time: 8.00 pm
A midweek service conducted in Mandarin, offering Scripture reflection, prayer, and the sacrament of Holy Communion.
Thursday – Free Tuition for Orang Asil Students
Time: 8.00 pm
We provide free tuition classes for Orang Asal children, helping them grow academically in a supportive and caring Christian environment.
Friday – Women’s Fellowship & Area Fellowships
Time: 8.00 pm (weekly/fortnightly)
A gathering for women and neighbourhood fellowship groups to study the Bible, encourage one another, and grow spiritually.
Saturday — Youth Fellowship/ Children's Church
Youth Fellowship: Saturdays, 3.00 pm
Children’s Church: Sundays, 11.45 am (alternate weeks)

Our Ministries & Fellowship Groups
At St John’s, ministry continues beyond Sunday worship. We grow together through smaller groups, ministries, and outreach to the community.
English Worship Services
Our English-language services provide a welcoming space for all ages to worship through Scripture, preaching, prayer, and Holy Communion.
Youth Fellowship
Our young people meet regularly to grow in faith through games, worship, Bible study, and friendships centred on Jesus.
Golden Circle Fellowship
A warm community for seniors to gather for prayer, encouragement, and mutual support as they journey with Christ together.
